Huntley Police Issue 32 Citations At Roadside Checkpoint

The Huntley Police Department issued 32 tickets during a roadside safety checkpoint on June 28.

Police said that 11 citations were for driving with a suspended license and 11 citations were for operating an uninsured motor vehicle. The other charges issued were for equipment and registration offenses as well as an arrest for possession of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia.

The safety checkpoint was conducted on Route 47 as part of the "Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over" Campaign. The program was funded through a grant from the United States Department of Transportation, National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
