Huntley Police: Graffiti, Appliances Stolen, DUI Arrest

Police reports from April 9-14.

Gang graffiti was found on a classroom wall at Huntley High School, 13719 Harmony Road, on April 9, police said.

Appliances were stolen from a home in the 10800 block of Grand Canyon Ave. on April 10, according to reports.

Taylor M. King, 18, of 7 Margate Ct., Lake in the Hills, IL was charged with disorderly conduct on April 11, police said. Taylor was released with a notice to appear in McHenry County court on May 13.

A washing machine and dryer were stolen from the 13700 block of White Oak Drive on April 11, police said.

Alejandro M. Valdez, 19, of 10982 Preston Parkway, Huntley, IL was arrested April 11 for driving while license suspended, speeding, transporting open alcohol, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of alcohol by a minor, police said. In the same incident Nicholas A. Sanfilippo, 18, 10498 Middletown, Huntley, was arrested for possession of alcohol by a minor and transporting open alcohol, reports stated. Both subjects posted bond and were released with a McHenry County court date of May 10.

Someone used a key or sharp object to damage a vehicle in a business parking lot in the 10500 block of Route 47 on April 12, police said.

A gas range was stolen from a home in the 12500 block of Castle Rock Drive on April 13, according to police.

A criminal damage to property report was taken at a park in the 10800 block of Allegheny Pass on April 13. Five juveniles ages 9 to 11 were seen tearing shingles off of the roof of a park pavilion. The juveniles were released to their parents.

Juan G. Moncada-Zavala, 32, of 4032 Todd Farm, Elgin, was arrested April 14 for aggravated driving under the influence, driving under the influence with blood alcohol over .08, , driving in the wrong lane, operation of an uninsured motor vehicle, and driving while license revoked. Moncada-Zavala was transported to McHenry County jail to await bond call.
