Huntley Police Blotter: Traffic Stop Leads to Arrest

Huntley police release weekly reports.

Two Crystal Lake men stopped for a traffic violation now face drug charges, Huntley police said.

Joseph A. Beausang, 18, of 899 Camelot Drive, Crystal Lake, was charged with unlawful delivery of cannabis and unlawful possession of cannabis and was cited for speeding on Nov. 4, police said. Beausang was transported to McHenry County jail to await bond call.

William J. Kindall, 20, of 1009 Wedgewood Drive, Crystal Lake, was arrested at the same time and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, police said. Kindall posted bond and was released with a McHenry County court date of December 23.

  • Three criminal damage to property reports were taken in the 12400 block of Carmel Lane and the 12500 block of Pheasant Ridge, police said. Someone damaged mailboxes in the neighborhoods on Nov. 1, reports stated.
  • Brock J. Reynolds, 24, 4373 Rolling Hills, Lake in the Hills, was and charged with possession of cannabis and was cited for texting while driving and no driver’s license on person on Nov. 1, police said. Reynolds posted bond and was released with a McHenry County court date of December 9.
  • Ryan C. Cervantes-Thilgen, 35, of 5N733 Castle Drive, St. Charles, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and cited for improper lane usage and transportation of open alcohol on Nov. 1, reports stated. Cervantes-Thilgen posted bond and was released with a McHenry County court date of November 18.
  • A student reported an iPod touch stolen at Huntley High School, 13719 Harmony Road, on Nov. 2, police said. The iPod was taken out of her back pocket, the victim told police.
  • Jodi S. Schultz, 45, of 11614 Algonquin Road, Huntley, was arrested for theft on Nov. 2, police said. No further details were reported.
  • A theft report was taken in the 12900 block of Cold Springs Drive on Nov. 4, police said.  Solar powered lights and a solar powered mole repeller were stolen from the yard of a residence.
