Huntley Police Blotter: Huntley Man Faces Sex Abuse Charges

Huntley police reports from April 23 to April 29.

Huntley police arrested a 33-year-old man on sex abuse charges, according to reports.

Somphith Phachansiri,  of 11604 E. Main St., Unit B, faces two counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse, police said. He was arrested April 23.

Police did not release additional information about the charges or the case.

Phachansiri posted bond and was released with a McHenry County court date of May 10.

  • A retail business in the 9900 block of Route 47 reported unknown persons attempted to purchase merchandise with a stolen debit card on April 23, police said.
  • A Huntley woman’s purse containing cash and medication was stolen from her unlocked vehicle parked in a driveway in the 11500 block of Douglas Street on April 23, according to reports.
  • Someone threw a rock through the passenger-side window of a vehicle while it was parked in the 12100 block of Lincoln Street on April 23, police said.
  • Jamie Fish, 37, of 10611 N. Church St., Huntley, was arrested on a charge of possession of a controlled substance and possession of a syringe on April 26, reports stated.
  • Four teens were charged with consumption of alcohol on April 26, police said. Griffin S. Krewer, 18, of 23 Ronan Court, Lake in the Hills, was charged with consumption of alcohol and possession of alcohol by a minor on April 26, police said. Three others, Alexander J. Robson, 18, of 9921 Bedford, Huntley, and two male juveniles, were charged with consumption of alcohol by a minor in the same incident, police said. All were released with a notice to appear in McHenry County court on May 21.
  • A criminal damage to property report was taken at a park in the 11900 block of Ackman Road on April 29, police said.  A storage trailer was damaged with spray paint.
  • Someone stole a cellphone from a car parked in the 11000 block of Myrtle Street on April 29, police said.

All individuals listed as arrested or charged with a crime are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
