Huntley Police Blotter: Several Theft, Trespassing, Criminal Damage Reports

The following information was provided by the Huntley Police Department. An arrest should not be considered a conviction.


July 23, 2013

  • Two criminal damage to vehicle reports and one criminal trespass to vehicle report were taken in the 11000 block of Madison Way. Two of the vehicles were vandalized and one of the vehicles was entered and items were strewn about.
  • A criminal damage to property report was taken in the 11700 block of Woodcreek Drive. A mail box was damaged.
  • A theft report was taken in a parking lot in the 12300 block of Route 47. The victim reported that a flag was stolen from the outside of his vehicle.
  • A theft from motor vehicle/criminal damage to vehicle report was taken in the 10700 block of Oregon Trail. A DVD player was stolen from the vehicle and the outside of the vehicle was keyed.
  • Shawn M. Egan, 35, of 12887 Tahoe in Huntley, was arrested for driving while license suspended, speeding and illegal transportation of alcohol. Egan posted bond and was released with a McHenry County court date of August 26, 2013.

July 24, 2013

  • A report of criminal damage to a vehicle was taken. The victim stated his vehicle was keyed in a business parking lot in the 11700 block of Route 47 on July 23, 2013.
  • A theft report was taken in the 11600 block of Main Street. The victim stated that a visitor to his residence stole his Nintendo game system box.
  • A burglary report was taken in the 11000 block of Madison Way. Alcoholic beverages were stolen from a refrigerator located in the garage.
  • Sarah J. Royals, 24, of 3442 W. 196th St. in Flossmoor, was arrested for driving with a suspended registration, violation of a driver’s license restriction and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. Ms. Royals posted bond and was released with a McHenry County court date of August 23, 2013.
  • A criminal damage to property report was taken in the 9900 block of Bedford Drive. A mail box was damaged.

July 25, 2013 

  • A burglary report was taken in the 13100 block of Illinois Street. Jewelry and a watch were reported stolen.
  • A trespassing report was taken in the 10100 block of Bennington Drive. Three boys from Huntley ages 13 to 14 made entry to a vacant home through a window. The juveniles were released to their parents.

July 28, 2013 

  • A criminal damage to vehicle report was taken in the10700 block of Capitol Lane. A rock was thrown through the rear window of a vehicle parked in a residential driveway.
  • Daniel Barrientos, 19, of 11108 Myrtle St. in Huntley, was arrested for driving while license suspended, possession of a suspended driver’s license and a headlight violation. Mr. Barrientos posted bond and was released with a McHenry County court date of September 13, 2013.
