Huntley Police Blotter: Senior Arrested on DUI Charge

Huntley police release this week's reports.

Huntley police arrest an 80-year-old woman on a charge of driving under the influence of alcohol after an accident, according to reports.

Eleanor Workman, of 13406 Dakota Fields, Huntley, was charged with DUI and was cited with failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and improper lane use, police said.

Police responded to an accident on Kreutzer Road, east of Route 47, at the railroad tracks about 5:10 p.m. Nov. 8, reports stated.

According to police, Workman’s vehicle crossed over the centerline and struck a second vehicle as it was traveling east on Kreutzer Road. Workman and the passengers of the other vehicle were taken to Sherman Hospital in Elgin where they were treated for minor injuries, police said.

  • Someone broke into a coin-operated machine in the 11800 block of Factory Shops Boulevard on Nov. 7, police said. Reports did not indicate how much was stolen.
  • A 17-year-old Huntley girl was charged with domestic battery on Nov. 7, police said. The juvenile was released to her parents and will be petitioned into McHenry County juvenile court.
  • Kyle R. Wrightman, 21, of 10710 Pebble Drive, Huntley, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia on Nov. 12, police said. Wrightman posted bond and was released with a McHenry County court date of Dec. 16.
  • An identity theft report was taken in the 11800 block of Cape Cod Lane on Nov. 12. Unauthorized charges were made to the victim’s credit card, police said.
