Huntley Police Blotter: New Year's Day DUI Arrest

 A 19-year-old Huntley man faces numerous traffic charges, including driving under the influence of alcohol, in a New Year's Day incident, police said.

Alex Alejandro of 11330 Dean St. was arrested on Jan. 1 for two counts of aggravated battery, two counts of obstructing a police officer, two counts of criminal damage to state supported property, driving under the influence of alcohol, driving while license suspended, possession of a suspended driver’s license, driving too fast for conditions, a lane violation, and two counts of failure to notify of an accident. Alejandro was transported to McHenry County jail to await bond call.

In other reports:

• David Berber, 46, of 1560 Millbrook, Algonquin, was arrested for driving with no valid driver’s license and failure to signal on Dec. 31, police said. Berber posted bond and was released with a court date.
• Antonio Vasquez, 24, of 534 Desmond Ave., Woodstock, was arrested for driving while license suspended Jan. 2, police said. Vasquez posted bond and was released with a McHenry County court date of February 15.
• Michael A. Sapoznik, 47, of 12515 Elmwood Ct., Huntley, was arrested on an outstanding McHenry County warrant for driving while license suspended on Jan. 4, reports stated. Sapoznik posted bond and was released with a McHenry County court date of January 25.

All individuals listed as arrested or charged with a crime in this press release are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
