Huntley Police Blotter: Old Car Batteries Stolen

Police release this week's reports.

 

Police said 31 used car batteries were stolen from Walmart last week, taken for the lead inside, according to Huntley police.

The theft occurred Nov. 22 from the store, 12300 Route 47, police said. A suspect driving a silver minivan taxi was spotted taking the battery cores from a fenced in area, police said.

In other reports released this week:

  • Two Huntley men, Kyle R. Wightman, 21, of 10710 Pebble and Viktor Milkovik, 18, of 11717 Davey Apt. A., were charged with theft on Nov. 27, police said. Wightman was transported to McHenry County Jail and given a McHenry County Court date of Dec. 16.  Milkovik posted bond and was released with a McHenry County Court date of Dec. 16. 
  • An iPhone was reported stolen from a home in the 10800 block of Grand Canyon on Nov. 21, police said.
  • A GPS was stolen from an unlocked vehicle in the 11700 block of Woodcreek Drive on Nov. 22, police said.
  • Matthew A. Dybeck, 27, of 1203 Patton, Lake in the Hills, is charged with driving under the influence of drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia and cited for improper lane usage on Nov. 25, police said. Dybeck posted bond and was released with a McHenry County Court date of Dec. 16.
  • Debra J. Florek, 55, of 323 Ben Brook, Poplar Grove, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and cited for driving under the influence of alcohol over .08, driving in the wrong lane, uninsured motor vehicle and expired registration on Nov. 26, according to police. Florek was released on a personal recognizance with a McHenry County Court date of Dec. 16.
  • Numerous items were reported stolen at Wilsons Leather, 11800 Factory Shops, Suite 400 on Nov. 27, police said.
