Huntley Man, Two Others Arrested in Armed Robbery Case

McHenry County Sheriff's office made arrests in a Sept. 14 Woodstock robbery.

 

A Huntley resident is among three men arrested in a Sept. 14 robbery in unincorporated Woodstock, McHenry County Sheriff’s deputies said Wednesday.

Jonathan S. Schneiderman, 26, of 10711 Woodstock St., Huntley, Lee Modesto Cruz, 27 and Kevin J. Loomis, 30, both of 9917 McConnell Road, Woodstock, have been arrested in the robbery. Each man was charged with robbery, a Class 2 felony, mob action, a Class 4 felony and battery, a Class A misdemeanor, sheriff’s deputies said.

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a 911 call from a gas station early on Sept. 14. At the scene, a victim told police she had been robbed and battered at a residence in the 9900 block of McConnell Road in unincorporated Woodstock, according to reports.

Loomis and Cruz were immediately identified as offenders. Loomis was taken into custody a short time later and a warrant of arrest was issued for Cruz, deputies said.

On Sept. 18, members of the McHenry County Sheriff’s office Fugitive Apprehension Unit, sheriff’s investigators and sheriff’s deputies located Cruz at a residence in the Huntley area. Cruz was subsequently taken into custody. Schneiderman was also present at the residence and identified as being the third offender involved with the robbery. Schneiderman was taken into custody and charged.

Bond was set at $40,000 for each man.
