Huntley Cops to Serve You at Culver's

Police department raising money for Special Olympics.

Culver’s of Huntley will be breaking in some new waiters and waitresses Saturday as Huntley police officers join their ranks to raise money for Special Olympics.

Culver’s is hosting “Tip a Cop” fundraiser from 10:30am to 4pm. The restaurant is located at 13240 Route 47. The event benefits the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Illinois Special Olympics.

Huntley police officers will act as waiters and waitresses, delivering orders for customers and will take "tips" for Special Olympics. Illinois Torch Run merchandise, like hats, shirts and pins, will be available for sale.

Special Olympics is a nonprofit organization providing year-round sports training and competition in 19 sports for nearly to nearly 21,000 athletes with intellectual disabilities and more than 4,000 young athletes ages 2-7 with and without intellectual disabilities.

This year, Huntley police have participated in several events, including staking out Dunkin’ Donuts, in order to raise funds for Special Olympics.
