Chowdown Breakfast Challenge: Brunch Cafe, Around the Clock, Burnt Toast

Vote for your favorite among the three finalists in this round of the Chowdown Showdown.

Last week, we asked McHenry County Patch.com readers: which restaurant do you think serves up the best breakfast in McHenry County?

!We have three finalists for this Chowdown: Brunch Cafe, which has a location at 414 S. Route 31 in McHenry;  and , 5011 Northwest Highway in Crystal Lake.

Here is how you can vote for your favorite restaurant:

  • Cast your vote in the poll below
  • Comment below to let us know why your restaurant has the best breakfast. Think a different restaurant deserves to win? You can let us know in the comments' section.
  • If your restaurant has a Patch directory listing, leave a review and a rating on that listing.
  • Share your thoughts on our Facebook page

The winner will be determined based on a combination of poll results, ratings and comments. Voting will continue through 5 p.m. Tuesday, April 10. The winner will be announced in an article that will be posted the morning of Wednesday, April 11.

Without further ado, let the voting begin for this week's Chowdown Showdown champion!

I voted for Brunch Cafe because I've been to the other two and they're blah. Too bad there's not a Wildberry in McHenry Co., then you'd all know what a good breakfast place is...

Richard Walkers serves the best omelets! I have eaten at the other three, but will always choose Richard Walkers for breakfast.

McCloud's comment is a quote from the Three Stooges.

After the sub sandwich fiasco, I use these "polls" as a warning to know which place to stay away from! :-) Never did see a valid explanation as to why these polls usually get around a hundred votes, and that one had over 3000. Other than rigged voting.
