Tricia Susan (Andrlik) DiVirgilio, 43, our beautiful courageous fighter, unlaced her pink boxing gloves on Saturday, Jan. 26, 2013 after five years of battling breast cancer.

Born on September 25, 1969, she is survived by her daughter Kaitlyn, who shines with her mom’s spirit; her parents, Bob & Sharon Andrlik; grandmothers, Sue & Sylvia; brothers Tim (and his wife Dawn) and Todd (and his wife Hillary); sister Terry; and nieces & nephews Jennifer, Payton, Scott, Rory and Lincoln, all of which she adored.

Tricia will be remembered by all who knew her for her exceptional strength, compassion, quirky sense of humor and “never give up” attitude. She died peacefully surrounded by her family. Her spirit never gave up, her body simply got tired.

A memorial gathering will be held from 10 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 2, at the DeFiore-Jorgensen Funeral & Cremation Service, 10763 Dundee Road, Huntley.
