Huntley's Relay for Life Held Friday, Saturday

So far, over $32,000 has been raised by the Huntley Relay for Life.

Huntley's Relay for LIfe will kick off tonight at 6 p.m. at the Huntley Park District, 12015 Mill St. in Huntley. 

A survivor dinner will be held at 5:15 p.m. and an opening ceremony and survivor lap will be held from 6 to 6:30 p.m. The fund-raising event will continue until 6 a.m. on Saturday, according to a press release. 

The main objective of Relay For Life is to raise money for cancer research and cancer patients but the event also helps spread cancer awareness, celebrate the lives of survivors, remember those who lost their lives to cancer and unite a community in the fight against cancer.

As of June 12, the Huntley Relay for Life had raised over $32,000. In total, 136 participants and 20 teams have signed up.
