About Gun Control
Many Americans have been deeply moved by the recent violence at Sandy Hook Elementary School and feel it is time for stronger regulations on gun ownership.
No one presumes the problem lies solely with guns. Everyone knows gun control is one part of a large, complex problem. This isn’t about taking guns away from responsible people who want to own revolvers for home defense or enjoy hunting. It is about preventing the wrong kinds of guns from getting in the wrong kinds of hands.
Randy Hultgren, our representative in Congress, has an NRA “A” rating and supports NRA positions such as opposition to closing the “Terror Gap” (allows people on the Terror Watch List to purchase weapons) and even to opposing closing gun show loop holes.
If you live in the 14th, please let Congressman Hultgren know that you want sensible gun control to be part of the solution by signing this petition: http://www.ipetitions.com/petition/petition-for-restriction-of-weapon-ownership/.
