Turning Point of McHenry Dine-out Night at Culver's

Turning Point of Mchenry County will host a Dine-out Fundraiser this week, followed by a radiothon. To help reach their goal of $100,000, several restaurants in the area are giving back to the cause. On Wednesday, August 14, Culver’s of McHenry (1101 Adams Dr.) and Culver’s of Woodstock (1620 W Lake Shore Dr.) will donate 15% of the day’s proceeds to Turning Point.

The only domestic violence shelter in McHenry County, Turning Point relies on donations and fundraisers to help run their facility. The shelter offers counseling for groups and individuals suffering trauma or partner abuse; their mission is to confront violence against women and children throughout the area.

The Dine-Out Night will lead up to Turning Point’s annual “Take a Stand for Turning Point” radiothon, in which supporters pick their own method of fundraising and donate to the agency.

Turning Point has served the needs of domestic violence victims for more than twenty-five years, and strives to maintain programs, safety, and an environment that exhibits concern for each individual, including its clients, volunteers, professional associates, and staff members.
