The Sun City Concert band is a group of approximately 50 dedicated musicians, who enjoy the fun and challenge of playing concert band music. Band members are available to mentor anyone else in Sun City who has played before and wishes to play again. Under the direction of Donna Bressler, the band continues to pursue an excellent array of concert band music of increasing difficulty and sophistication. The band has performed many concerts in the past year including the Sun City winter and spring concerts at Prairie Lodge, the Sun City Golf Cart parade, the combined Huntley High School-Sun City Band Concert, the Devonshire Assisted Living concert, and the Randall Oaks concert for the Dundee Park District. At the Devonshire concert, Sherman Frooman, a former band member who moved to Devonshire, was honored and played with the band. With such a demanding schedule, the band is always interested in Sun City residents who want to play in our band.
Contact Donna Bressler, the band’s director, at 847-669-7373 for further information.
