ART CONTEST FOCUSING ON HUNTLEY HISTORY

Calling  all  artists from 6th grade to adults. Focus on Huntley's History from 1851-1951 by digging into Huntley's past and making it come alive through art. Huntley's history groups are seeking works of art which must be original images related to historically significant Huntley buildings, structures, landscapes, persons, or events. Entries are limited to two-dimensional paintings and drawings and must be submitted on the provided canvas board or illustration paper which can be signed out at the Huntley Park District Office, 12015 Mill Street. Historic information about the subject must be submitted w/entry. 1st place winners in each of 3 categories: middle school, high school and adults will receive $50. Submissions will be accepted at the Huntley Park District Office during posted office hours from 5/1 to 5/9. Winners will be announced at the Huntley Farmer's Market on 5/25. All submitted artwork will be on display that day. Entry form and details can be found on VOH website, Huntley.il.us., under "Historic Preservation Commission".
