Traffic Alert: Route 47 Project Leads to Road Closures

The Illinois Department of Transportation issues its weekly road construction update.

A few residential streets remain closed this week as Illinois Department of Transportation crews continue pouring concrete along the Route 47 road project.

Kenneth and Joan streets, east of Route 47, will be closed until Thursday, IDOT said in its weekly update.

The current roadwork has shifted some of the entrances to businesses on the east side of Route 47 so IDOT advises be on the lookout for these new temporary entrances.
