Traffic Alert: Route 47 Lane Reconfiguration

The village of Huntley cautions motorists of an upcoming major traffic reconfiguration on Route 47, between Del Webb Boulevard and Big Timber Road.

Both northbound and southbound lanes will be affected, according to an alert the village issued. The changeover is scheduled to begin around 9 a.m. Friday, Dec. 27.

There will be directional signs and construction workers on site so motorists should be careful.

Route 47 is under construction as part of a $69 million project that will create full interchange onto the Jane Addams Memorial Tollway. The project is expected to be complete by summer 2013.
