Route 47 Traffic Alert: Grinding to Cause Long Delays

The Illinois Department of Transportation is alerting drivers of increased traffic delays beginning this week.

Crews will begin grinding pavement Tuesday, Oct. 18 and the work will continue until Friday, Oct. 21.

The streets affected are:

• Kreutzer Road, east of Route 47,
• Main Street, from Route 47 to Church Street
• Main Street, from Route 47 to Bonnie Brae,
• Woodstock Street, between Main Street and Coral Street
• Algonquin Road, from Route 47 to Church Street

Expect long delays while grinding is taking place.

No parking will be allowed on Main Street, between Woodstock Street and Church Street as well as on Woodstock Street, between Main Street and Coral Street.
