“Supporting Big Brothers Big Sisters of McHenry County’s Swing for Kids’ Sake is a GREAT way to give back to the community, change lives AND have a fun afternoon,” they said.

Day of registration will open at 10:30a.m. when players can load their clubs onto the golf carts sponsored by BMO Harris Bank.   Lunch donated by Lou Malnati’s Pizzeria will be served from 11 a.m. – noon.  Participants can begin previewing silent auction items and place their bids during lunch. Some of the silent auction items include an autographed Derrick Rose Basketball, 2 lower level Bulls tickets, tickets to Chicago Cubs games, a handsome Hartmann luggage duffle, rounds of golf on various Illinois and Michigan courses and much more.

Shotgun start will be at 12:15 p.m., and the format of the tournament is “play as you wish” – meaning it can be a scramble/best ball or a competition within the foursome.  Scorecards sponsored by Market Financial Group allow people to track scores as they desire.

Along the course, golfers will be entertained by various games and contests such as a Hole-in-One contest with a 2012 Jeep Wrangler generously donated by Crystal Lake Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram as the prize and Closest to the Fin/Pin Contest by Bonefish Grill, as well as ice cream courtesy of Home State Bank.

Cocktails will be served from 5:30 to -6 p.m.  Dinner donated compliments of Bonefish Grill will be served at 6 p.m.  The dinner is open to golfers and non-golfers alike.  The evening includes a Calcutta sponsored by Althoff Industries at the conclusion of the silent auction.

This year’s event is presented by Crystal Lake Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram, and also sponsored by Bonefish Grill, Lou Malnati’s Pizzeria, BMO Harris Bank, Althoff Industries, Market Financial Group, Waters Industries/PantherVision and Home State Bank.  The goal of the event is to raise $50,000, and we could not approach that goal without the support of these sponsors.

Individual golfers are $180, foursomes are $700, corporate Foursomes are $775 and include a Tee Box Sponsorship.  All golfers receive:  beverages on the course, lunch from Lou Malnati’s Pizzeria, dinner from Bonefish Grill, a golf shirt and goody bag, 18 holes of golf and many contests and activities.  Other sponsorships are still available.  Dinner only tickets are $75.
