Huntley To Hold September 11 Memorial Ceremony
Mayor, local clergy among those scheduled to address the crowd.
On the tenth anniversary of the September 11 attacks, will be among the cities and towns across the nation honoring the victims.
A memorial service, expected to last 30 to 40 minutes, will held at noon on Sunday, September 11 at the James C. Dhamer Town Square.
Barb Read, management assistant to the village manager, said the village board honors the fallen at meetings yearly.

“But this year, because it’s the tenth anniversary, we wanted to do something special,” she said.
In addition to Huntley Village President Charles Sass, other scheduled speakers include: Pastor Mark Boster of the Shepherd of the Prairie Church, Monsignor Steve Knox of St. Mary’s Church, and Bruce Cole of the Faith Community Church.

Members of Huntley’s American Legion Hall, the Huntley Fire Department and Huntley Police Department will also be in attendance.
