Good Friday A Spring Holiday For Governments, Schools
See what's open and what's closed.
It's called a "spring holiday" or "floating holiday" or simply, Good Friday holiday.
While Good Friday is not a federal holiday, many governments and school districts are closed tomorrow, April 6.

The following schools and government offices will be closed on Friday:
- Huntley village hall
- Consolidated School District 158 schools, district office
- McHenry County offices, including the courthouse
- Kane County offices, including the courthouse
Since Good Friday is not a federal holiday, there will be mail delivery and most banks will be open.
