Lionheart Engineering Breaks Ground for New Facility in Huntley

New I-90 Interchange at Route 47 a critical element in selecting Huntley for its new site.

Lionheart Engineering broke ground for its new 23,800 square foot building in the Huntley Corporate Park Tuesday.

“We are pleased to become part of the growing Huntley business community,” Lionheart Engineering President Don Ritter said. Our decision to select Huntley is based on several factors, most important of which were proximity to I-90, location within a newer business park, and assistance from an experienced commercial builder.  Collaboration and cooperation among Reiche Construction, its marketing agent Entre Commercial Realty, and the Village of Huntley made our decision smooth and efficient.”

Lionheart currently employs 40 individuals. It is anticipated that approximately 10 new will be added in the 24 months following opening of the new Huntley facility.

Lionheart’s relocation needs stem from the benefits associated with being located as closely as possible to an interstate highway.  Interstate proximity has become increasingly critical for field engineers who require access to Lionheart offices, but who are frequently out of the office and require short access to interstate highways, and O’Hare Airport.

Additionally, large generator units require transportation to areas throughout Northern Illinois. By being located in Huntley, significant travel time can be eliminated from each trip made by field engineers and those transporting generator units.
