Comedian Steve Cochran Rings in New Year at Raue Center for the Arts

Show is aimed at folks you want to ring in the New Year before it's midnight.

Wouldn’t it be great if there were a New Year's Eve show you could see and still be home falling asleep by 11 p.m.… just like every year?

Good news, there is.

Comedians Steve Cochran, Patti Vasquez and John Dacosse promise to be very funny - and done by 10 p.m.  Yes, the best in stand-up comedy on stage means show-goers can have a great time saying goodbye to 2012 from the comfort of the Raue Center for the Arts, 26 N. Williams St., Crystal Lake.

About Steve Cochran:

“After I left the CIA as an international spy, I worked briefly at NASA as a rocket scientist so no one could ever say…hey, it’s not rocket science…to me.  Then I started doing radio and it turned out they were right."

Steve has been on the air for almost 20 years in Chicago at THE LOOP, WGN, and now on AM560 WIND every afternoon from 5-7 p.m.  Prior, he was thrown out of some of the finest cities in America after being fired from radio stations in New York, Miami, Minneapolis, Baltimore, Detroit, and St. Louis, too.

You can see Steve in many early 1990s films playing crucial roles. He was the weatherman in “Grumpy Old Men,” and waiter #2 in “Drop Dead Fred” just to name two. Shockingly, Steve has never won an Oscar.

He has shared the stage as a stand-up comedian with names like Jerry Seinfield, Jay Leno, Garry Shandling, Richard Lewis, and Don Rickels. Steve regularly appears on Lou Dobbs on FOX Business and has been a contributor to CNN.

Steve is thrilled to bring this Chicago NYE tradition to Raue Center and thanks you for joining us.

About John DaCosse:

During his 20 years in stand-up comedy, brilliant physical comedian John DaCosse has developed a solid reputation nationwide. In addition to playing clubs and colleges across the country, John has opened for Jay Leno, Howie Mandel and Louie Anderson.

His cartoonish, expressive face allows him the unique ability to get laughs without saying a word!

About Patti Vasquez:

A Chicago native, Patti got her start over a decade ago at CZanies Comedy Club. Since then, she has gone on to perform three hit solo shows- Pregnant Party Girl: From Stoli’s to Stirrups,”  “Mamacita: Tales of a Diaper Diva” and “Tequila and Shamrocks: Every Flower Has Her Roots,” written and performed by Patti for theater audiences.

She has appeared in comedy festivals including HBO’s Las Vegas Comedy Festival, the Chicago Comedy Festival and Marshall’s Women in Comedy Festival in New York.

As a regular guest on the wildly popular Bob and Tom radio show, Patti reaches audiences around the world. She is currently touring cities across the country with the Bob and Tom Comedy All Stars. Her unique perspective on family and relationships has been described as ”comedy with a heart”
