Chipotle’s “Boorito” Halloween Fundraiser Returns

Visit your local Chipotle's in costume from 4 p.m. to close on Halloween and get a burrito, bowl, salad or order of tacos for $2. Proceeds go to the Chipotle Cultivate Foundation.

Chipotle Mexican Grill’s popular Halloween fundraiser, Boorito, is returning this year to your local Chipolte restaurant.

On Halloween, Wednesday, Oct. 31, Chipolte will treat customers dressed in costume to a burrito, bowl, salad or order of tacos for $2 between 4 p.m. and closing. Proceeds, up to $1 million, benefit the Chipotle Cultivate Foundation.

“We have always believed that good food should be affordable and accessible to everyone, and our annual Boorito fundraiser is a great opportunity for customers to enjoy a $2 burrito while supporting a great cause,” said Steve Ells, founder, chairman and co-CEO of Chipotle. “By using this program as a fund-raiser, we have already raised $2 million to support farmers and organizations that make sustainable and humanely raised food possible, and we’ll add to that total this year. It’s a great way to celebrate Halloween by doing something good.”

Participants in this year’s fundraiser are invited to also enter the Chipotle Costume Contest for a chance to win $2,500 and other prizes. For more information and contest rules, please visit Chipolte's website.

Proceeds from Boorito _ up to $1 million_ will benefit the Cultivate Foundation, a non-profit organization committed to creating a more sustainable and healthful food supply and to raising awareness of food issues. The foundation supports family farmers and their communities, educators and programs that teach younger generations about food matters, along with support for ranchers and farmers who are working to develop more sustainable practices.
