Huntley Artfest Brings Fine Arts to Town

Artists will converge in downtown Huntley for the fair, scheduled Saturday, Aug. 18 and Sunday, Aug. 19.


Huntley Artfest is bringing together dozens of artists in downtown Huntley for a celebration of art, food and music.

This year’s Artfest is being held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 18 and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 19 at the intersection of Church and Main streets.

The juried art fair is featuring 45 artists from Illinois, Wisconsin, Michigan, Iowa, Missouri & Indiana who will represent many mediums including:  ceramics, drawing, glass, jewelry, acrylic, oil, watercolor, pastel, sculpture, wood sculpture, mixed media, photography, printmaking and creative writing.

Musicians performing_ everything from blues to folk music_ at the two-day event include Dave Dillenbeck, Center Stage Dance, February Sky, Andrew Huber, Not the Jones, Lucas Group, American Echo, Rebecca McCarthy, Phyllis Connelly, Vern Studt and The Fox River Trio.

I really enjoyed the Art Fest last summer and bought many things there. I hope that more people come than last year as it has really good artists showcasing their creativity. Pray for decent weather with no wind as everything is tented.
