Get Out: The Halloween Edition

Halloween weekend is filled with lots of activities for all.

Where/When: Cosman Cultural Center, Huntley Park District, 12015 Mill Street, Huntley. Saturday, Oct. 29 at 7:30 p.m.

Why go: Come on out to the Cosman Theater for a performance that will surely send chills down your spine! The Illinois Brass Band will be performing their Halloween Concert and will feature some of your all-time favorite Halloween tunes. Come dressed up in your best costumes and listen to songs that will be sure to leave you twisting and turning in the night!

Pricing: Tickets are sold at the door only, $10 for adults, $5 for children 14 and under.

Where/When: Algonquin Middle School, 520 Longwood Drive, Algonquin. Friday, Oct. 28 from 3:45 to 6 p.m.

Why go: The Algonquin Middle School PTO is holding its annual carnival fundraiser. Lots of games and activities for Halloween.

Pricing: Tickets available at the door. Wristbands are $10 for unlimited access or $8 for middle school students in advance. For more information, call 847-980-7275 or 847-532-7100.

 

Where/When: Cary Community Center, 255 Briargate Road, Cary. Saturday, Oct. 29 at 1 p.m.

Why go: This annual event is hosted by the Cary Park District. Children aged 2 to 7 should come in costume to play games, do crafts and collect treats.

Pricing: The cost is $6 for residents, $9 for nonresidents. Adults are free. For more information, check the park district’s website here.

 

Where/When: Immanuel Lutheran Church and School, 300 S. Pathway Court, Crystal Lake. Friday, Oct. 28, 6 to 8 p.m.

Why go: A different type of Halloween experience, one that is a safe environment for children. Families pass out candy from their trunks. Children can also play games, do crafts and even bob for apples.

Pricing: The cost is $1 per family for inside activities or two canned goods for the Crystal Lake Food Pantry, free for trunk-or-treat. For more information call 815-459-1444.

 

Where/When: The Lake in the Hills Police Department, 1109 Crystal Lake Road. Monday, Oct. 31, 3 to 6 p.m.

Why go: The Lake in the Hills Police Department is proud to announce that they will be hosting their eighth annual safe trick or treat night for children.  Children will be able to trick or treat throughout the miniature town located behind the Safety Education Center. Children will be let into the fenced in area where they will be able to go up to each of the little buildings and meet friendly monsters and other cool characters who will be handing out treats.

Where/When: Algonquin Commons, 1900 S. Randall Road, Algonquin.
Sunday, 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Why go: There will be a prize wheel, giveaways, activities, goodie bags, and safe, mall-wide trick or treating, and STAR 105.5 will be broadcasting live!
