CELEBRATING PEOPLE IN ACTION - NATIONAL VOLUNTEER WEEK
Volunteers
help make the library an even better place to visit! Did you know 60+ volunteers help at the
library each month?
They
assist with many of the most valuable library services including shelving
materials, office work, reading programs for children, and more. Volunteer
efforts save the library nearly $50,000 annually. In addition, Junior
Volunteers are a tremendous help during the Summer Reading Program.

The
Friends Foundation members, numbering over 250, are also volunteers who help by
supporting programs and donating money to the library. The next time you’re in
the library, if you see someone wearing a “Volunteer” badge, be sure to thank
them for all they do.
