Arthritis vs. Bursitis: Removing the Misconceptions

Aches, pains, inflammation and more may be experienced by one who has arthritis or bursitis. Both conditions can lead to these discomforting symptoms, yet it may be hard to differentiate which is the exact cause. Join Dr. Ali Malick, rheumatologist on staff with Centegra Physician Care, as he uncovers the difference between arthritis and bursitis. Malick will provide tips to prevent these ailments and will discuss innovative treatment options. “Arthritis vs. Bursitis: Removing the Misconceptions” will be from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 12 at Centegra Health Bridge Fitness Center-Crystal Lake, 200 Congress Parkway.

 

A Night of Perfect Sleep

According to the National Sleep Foundation, 74 percent of Americans suffer from debilitating sleep disorders and the majority of them are undiagnosed. There are many types of sleep disorders, ranging from staying awake, sleepwalking, snoring, sleep apnea and more. Join Dr. Firas Dairi, an independent pulmonologist on staff at Centegra Health System, as he discusses common sleep disorders, how they are linked to other chronic conditions and available treatment options. “A Night of Perfect Sleep” will be from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 19 at Centegra Health Bridge Fitness Center-Huntley, 10450 Algonquin Road.

 

It’s Time to Align Your Spine

Centegra Health System offers a personalized approach to the treatment of acute and chronic back and spine conditions. Back pain is common, however, it shouldn’t be accepted as part of one’s life. Join Dr. Sandhya Meesala, medical director of the Centegra Back and Spine Center, as she explains how Centegra provides access to non-invasive treatments and how to live a life free of back pain. “It’s Time to Align Your Spine” will be from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 25 at Centegra Health Bridge Fitness Center-Huntley.
