Local soccer players can take place in an upcoming competition next month.
The St. Mary of Huntley Council Knights of Columbus is hosting the 2012 Knights of Columbus Soccer Challenge competition, which is open to boys and girls ages 10 to 14.
It will take place from from 8:00 AM until Noon, Saturday, September 8, 2012 at the Huntley Park District Rec Center, 12015 Mill Street in Huntley.
The Knights of Columbus Soccer Challenge is sponsored annually, with the winners progressing through local, district, regional and state competitions.
International champions are announced by the Knights of Columbus International Headquarters based on scores from the state-level competitions. All boys and girls 10-14 years old are eligible to participate and will compete in their respective age divisions. There is no cost to participate.
All contestants on the local level are recognized for their participation in the event. Participants are required to furnish proof of age and written parental consent. Entry forms will be available at the competition site.
