This week’s topic: good books to check out for this week’s National Read Across America Day.

Patch Picks consulted Huntley Area Library District’s staff picks list for book recommendations. The lists, for adults and children, can be found on the library’s website as well as a synopsis and reviews by library patrons.

 Here’s a few of the top picks:

Adults:
