Resolve to Quit Smoking in 2012 with 7-Week Program

McHenry County Department of Health (MCDH) and Centegra Health System are offering a 7-week quit smoking class for adults for seven consecutive Thursdays, beginning January 12 at 6 p.m..  Classes will be held at Centegra Health Bridge Fitness Center, 10450 Algonquin Road, Huntley. A $25 course fee is due at the first class and will be refunded upon completion of all seven classes. Participants will also receive a 3-day complimentary pass to the Health Bridge Fitness Center.

The class focuses on practical ways to end nicotine addiction with group support and behavior modification. Nicotine replacement products will be discussed, and instructors for the program are MCDH staff trained in the American Lung Association’s “Freedom from Smoking” program.
