Patch Paw Pals: Jack

Animal House Shelter's boxer-pit bull mix Jack is the pet of the week. He is waiting to be adopted after his previous owners took him back due to a divorce.

With a brindle coat, Huntley Animal House Shelter’s 5-year-old Jack found himself right back where he started. The boxer-pit bull mix originally came from a high-kill facility where he was nearly put down with his littermates.

Huntley’s shelter came to the rescue, and within a year a married couple adopted him. Four years later, to his dismay, he’s back again, after the couple went through a divorce.

“Now he is back for Round Two” at the shelter, said manager Marcus Bunda.

According to Bunda, Jack was a bit shy when he returned to Animal House just a few weeks ago. Since then, though, he has opened up and is coming out of his shell.

Jack is a house-trained, loving, 50-pound boy with potential to get along with other dogs. First and foremost, however, he just wants an owner to take him in.
