Huntley's Miss Illinois Prepares for Miss America Pageant and Looks Back At Year
Huntley's own Hannah Smith reflects on her year as Miss Illinois and shares how she's getting ready for the Miss America pageant.
In 2008, 16-year-old Hannah Smith competed in her first pageant, Miss Huntley.
The following year, she took home the Miss Huntley crown and later won Miss McHenry County and Miss Windy City. Now, after winning Miss Illinois 2011, Smith is gearing up for the Miss America 2012 pageant in January.

The Miss America pageant will air Jan. 14 on ABC from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. Huntley residents can support Smith by voting for her as their “Favorite 2012 Miss America Contestant” here.
