Pantry sees growing demand, needs more volunteer help.

Current volunteers “are being stretched to the limit by trying to meet the growing demands of the pantry,” Grafton Food Pantry President Kathy Schneiter said.

Grafton Food Pantry needs help to stock shelves and serve people on from 3:30 to 7:15 p.m. Mondays. Volunteers are also needed to stock shelves, which requires some lifting, from 8 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Tuesdays. There are other shifts available.

Volunteers must be 16 years old or older. Applications are available on its website or at the pantry during hours of operation. Anyone interested can contact Kathy at 847-772-9713 or Paula, volunteer coordinator, at 847-495-0922.

“This is a good opportunity for an individual or groups to become involved in community service,” Schneiter said. “We would provide a volunteer orientation and short training period.”
