Grafton Food Pantry Finds New Home

Grafton Food Pantry has a new home, just in time for its busy season.

“We are very excited to be moving to a larger facility that will enable us to continue to provide quality services to our clients in a more spacious setting,” said Harriet Ford, board member and spokesman.

The move is tentatively scheduled for mid-November. Ford hopes the pantry is settled in its new location in time for the holidays. Grafton Food Pantry’s new address will be 11481 Allison Court, Huntley. The phone number is 847- 495-0922.

“We are literally moving just around the corner from our current Kruetzer Road/Smith Drive location,” she said. “We want to thank the many community members for their assistance during our search and their commitment to help us make this transition.  We especially want to thank Tom Manning for his generosity and kindness.”

The food pantry’s move is not the only big news: the food pantry is merging with Faith Community Church Food Pantry in Lake in the Hills.

“Faith Community Church Food Pantry…has decided to close their current location and merge their operations with our pantry,” Ford said. “We welcome this addition to our pantry and look forward to working together as one organization in our efforts to end hunger in the community,”

Grafton Food Pantry, a 501(c)(3), non-profit corporation, has a service area of the Village of Huntley, the Village of Lakewood and portions of Lake in the Hills, Algonquin and Crystal Lake.
