The newest version of the iPhone has a 5-megapixel camera for your grad to send you photos from college. 3. Kindle, Nook, e-readers

Another tech must-have, the devices can be found through Amazon.com or Barnes and Noble bookstore, with a location at Spring Hill Mall in West Dundee.

 4. Jewelry

For a sentimental gift, check out Lemstone bookstore for the graduate necklace, a chrome cross with a poem about graduation. The Christian bookstore, 708 S. Randall Road, Algonquin, has other special gifts for graduates.

5. Keepsakes

Walgreens, which has two locations in Huntley on Princeton Drive and Route 47, offers a graduation book. You bring in your photos and create a book for your graduate. You can chronicle their school years or show off every single school photo they ever took. The store also has stuffed animals and other items with the words “Class of 2011” written on them.
