Craft fair and plants among the offerings Saturday.

It’s Farmer’s Market season and Huntley is kicking off its very own downtown market on Saturday.

The market will be held from 8am to noon on Main Street.

“This will be our fifth year,” said Barbara Read, Huntley manager assistant and market organizer. “We started with just a few vendors and at the peak of this season we should have about 17.”

One of the vendors this weekend is Bergman Farms from Burlington. The farm, run by Tom and Sharon Bergman, will be selling fresh chicken and duck eggs, she said.

“I had never had a farm fresh egg until last  year and they are so different than what you buy in the store, they are much larger and they taste awesome,” Read said.

This weekend is Plant Your Garden Day at the market. There will be lots of annuals and perennial plants as well as a kids’ seed planting area.
