Cooler Temps on the Way

Ready for a break from the heat?

After another steamy day on Monday, the rest of the week will feature more moderate temperatures in the upper 70s and low 80s. One day this week could even see a high of just 73.

The forecast high for Monday is 88 degrees, according to the National Weather Service in Chicago. Monday evening will see a 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. 

Tuesday's high is only expected to be 80 degrees, with a 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. 

Temperatures will be slightly cooler Wednesday and Thursday, with forecast highs of 75 and 79, respectively. 

There's a chance of showers and thunderstorms Friday, Saturday and Sunday, with highs of 80, 77 and 73. Yes, you read that right. Just 73 degrees in July.
