'Cancer Kiss My Cooley' Cheers Cubs Against Brewers

Carter Kettner threw out the first pitch at a 2009 Chicago Cubs game. Former pitcher Randy Wells held Carter’s hand as the two walked onto the field. Carter threw out the ball as his everyone cheered.

The young Huntley boy died in May 2010 of a brain tumor. But the images of that day remain dear to his family. His parents wrote “these two minutes in my son’s life will be in our minds and hears forever,” on YouTube where a video of the day is posted.

Cancer Kiss My Cooley was created in Carter’s memory. And it is fitting that the charity is holding a baseball outing to a Chicago Cubs game to raise funds for the illness that claimed his life.

The CKMC Baseball Outing will be Saturday, April 20 when the Cubs play the Milwaukee Brewers at Miller Stadium in Milwaukee. The game starts at 6:10 p.m. The cost is $30. CKMC will receive a $10 from each ticket sold.
