An Oscar-Worthy Escape

Each week, we'll tell you about one great idea to give you a much deserved break, and make your life a little easier, maybe a whole lot easier.

Today’s escape is inspired by the Oscars, which will be handed out Sunday, Feb. 27.

Go ahead, sneak off to see Colin Firth in “The King’s Speech” playing at, 311 N. Randall Road, Lake in the Hills. You can get movie times by checking here.

Admission is $7.50 before 6 pm and $10.00 after 6 pm. So you can go while the kids are in school or after you put them to bed while Dad watches them.

“The King’s Speech” is getting high marks and is nominated as a Best Picture. Firth is known as the “thinking woman’s” sex symbol. He’s also a very good actor as seen in last year’s “A Single Man.” Let’s face it, he’s wonderful in everything.

If you can’t go to the theater, try renting one of Firth’s most well-known movies like 1995’s “Pride and Prejudice” where he plays Mr. Darcy. Another great classic movie, “Bridget Jones’s Diary.” Enjoy!
