CRYSTAL LAKE, IL- Lutheran Social Services of Illinois (LSSI) is proud to introduce to the community of Crystal Lake and the surrounding communities the latest of its affordable senior housing properties, Gable Point. LSSI is welcoming the community to its housewarming of Gable Point on October 30, 2013 from 1:00pm-3:00pm.

Located on three acres of land, Gable Point Senior Housing offers 59 one-bedroom apartments for low-income seniors aged 62 years and older. From its bold architecture to its thoughtful design touches Gable Point will change the way you think about senior living.  Kevin Hagemann, Executive Director for the Senior Housing Department at LSSI, states “Gable Point mixes beautiful Victorian-style architecture with modern elements. We believe LSSI was able to combine both worlds to produce an outstanding building.” Residents will feel the love and warmth that went into this building right as they walk through the doors with unique design elements, such as turrets and gables, to the rounded living rooms and special nook areas. As in all LSSI-owned buildings, apartments feature a full kitchen and an open floor plan with many on-site amenities.

While the architectural design and amenities are ground-breaking, Lisa Ingalls, Executive Director for the Senior Housing Department at LSSI, says “Gable Point has only been open a few weeks and several residents have moved in, you can already feel the sense of community in the building.
