Woodstock, IL – Family Alliance, Inc will host a Gong Bath fundraiser at 7:00 PM on Friday, June 10, 2011 at 2028 N. Seminary Avenue, Woodstock, IL. All proceeds benefit Family Alliance, northern Illinois’ only day mental health facility for mature adults.
Mark Placzkowski of Sound Current Meditation will lead the Gong Bath, which consists of specially sounded gong rhythms to assist meditation and relaxation. Mark will play his large gongs, dubbed Pluto and Sun, to lead the group in a relaxing sound experience.
Registration is necessary for the Gong Bath, with a $20.00 per person fee.
Groups of 3 or more may pay $15.00 per person with prior registration.
Family Alliance is a not-for-profit organization founded 29 years ago as a program enabling mature adults to remain at home and active in their community. Programs include: Wellness Day Programs and Dementia Day Programs with door-to-door transportation, Recovery/Mental Health Services, Caregiver Support Groups, Counseling and Community Support.
