2013 Leggee Elementary Fun Run Sponsorship

Dear Leopard Friend, 
As we eagerly prepare for our 4th annual Fun Run this fall, we greatly appreciate your consideration in sponsoring this fun and fitness-filled school fundraising event.

The Fun Run will take place at Leggee Elementary School in Huntley on September 6, 2013. Each year our Fun Run continues to amaze us with it success and overall participation. We are hoping this fall will do just the same! Kindergarten through 5th grade will run/walk the designated course during their designated P.E. time. A DJ will be at the event to "get the kids pumped up" and a healthy snack/drink will be provided to the students upon completion of the Fun Run.

For the 2012 - 13 school year, the annual Fun Run was the PTA's biggest opportunity to earn money to fund all of the assemblies, from bringing African music to interest students in the arts to Patty Lynn - a wonderful story teller. In addition, the PTA aids in the cost for field trips, which most grades go on two field trips a school year. We provide funds to the Art, Music and P.E. Departments to purchase necessary supplies/equipment in addition to other academic areas.

The PTA was instrumental in funding several more SMART boards during the 2012 - 2013 school year. You might ask, what is a SMART board? In a nutshell, it is an interactive whiteboard. The students can see images projected onto the wall from the teacher's computer screen. They can then interact with the computer program by writing with a special pen on the projected wall image. The teachers can also project web page content to support their lesson plans. We hope to continue to provide necessary funds in all academic areas at Leggee Elementary. All of the above is not possible without businesses that support education.

Thank you again for considering sponsorship of the 2013 Leggee's 4th annual Fun Run. Your exposure will be large and well received to over 1100 students and their families! The sponsorship form once completed can be mailed, along with payment (check payable to Leggee Elementary PTA) to Kate Darnall at 10800 Cape Cod Lane in Huntley, Illinois 60142. Email marketing image (.jpg or .bmp format) to kate@tknked.com. Deadline to submit sponsorship form, payment and marketing image is Monday, August 5th.
