Forward.... April 16, 2014 at 08:44 am
The fact of the matter is that prisons ARE being built for profit and who better to incarcerate, inRead More another form of modern day slavery, than putting minorities in jail. Studies are abundant that show there is a pathway of putting young black people out of schools, expelled for the same act a non-black child gets suspended for. And p.s., the schools in inner cities are set up to fail, lack of teachers, funding, books, etc., so you can say 'see, they just don't want to learn." Thus starts the path to prison, no education, no training programs, no jobs in concentrated minority areas, no future, stricter laws for low gauged infractions, etc. But when the rich and privileged are in court they can either go to a rehab. or sentenced to community service or probation with no time served due to 'affluencesa' or 'prison would not be go for my client'. The public education system is on its way to privatization such as the prison system because we are now an oligarchy! These moronic responses show how America is still not willing to accept or change the demonization of black people. Brought over and enslaved for over 400 years; freed in 1865 to 1965 with no rights. Still being subject to discrimination but the easy answer is they are lazy, thugs. The reality is American was started by a bunch of lawless yahoo's who still tell you to think non-whites are superior and all others are inferior. Raped, pillaged, murdered over 20 million Native American's but the quick response in the fall to....drugs, minorities, illegal immigrants, etc. The system is set up this way so you feel more comfortable not facing the fact that those you admire or tell you what you want to hear, so that you don't have to look to the core of how this country was founded. Prisons are just another form of slavery!

this is one voluntary effort. Find a food co op and shop there as they are usually savvy on thisRead More issue. http://www.nongmoproject.org/learn-more/understanding-our-seal/

If dogs have their ancestors wolves, we could see how human change genes of them. This example isRead More showing that all domestic animals genes where changed. We eat most of them or products from them. In thousands years we did not see a huge problems here. GMO products could be introduced right now and despite majority of science did not see any problems here people must know and choose. Majority think in their time that earth is the center of universe. They was wrong. Majority think that greenhouse gases are responsible for climate change. They are wrong. Majority in science is nonsense and create from science political propaganda machine for political or economical reason. Despite I think that GMO products are not dangerous, only time could solve how smart I am.

I once read a blogger that claimed that Obamacare has never been changed since it was passed...
Hydra April 7, 2014 at 10:32 am
CD I read that same blog. The blogger also could not defend any of his points so he kept usingRead More childish "what if" statements.

Lyle, it always seems to work out. That's the beauty of our form of government. It's pretty muchRead More self policing. Just because YOU don't believe in something doesn't mean it isn't true.

John Smith, smoke another bowl, dude. It's clowns like you that make it easy for guys like me toRead More dominate!

Max Smart - You do "dominate" the entire arena of ignorance... Your only competition isRead More Gov. Rick Perry, I mean Gov. "Oops..."
Term Limits?
Waldi West March 25, 2014 at 11:47 am
One more point on my comment above. I would like to see each candidate for office be limited to theRead More amount they can spend on an election - no matter what the source. (PACs, individual contributions, their own money). For example, limit the amount each candidate running for State Representative can spend to XX number of dollars - no more. That's the only way to make it equal. But I bet my next pay check that won't happen.
George Fabyan March 25, 2014 at 05:35 pm
Waldi West you need to educate yourself on the subject. Look up Mike Madigan, Read about how heRead More controls illinois and then tell me we don't need term limits. How can we vote Mike Madigan out of office when we don't live in his district? Only a thousand people live in his district. It is impossible for me or any of the 13 million other people in Illinois to vote him out. Mike Madigan has sold our state to the highest bidder. Mike Madigan is the CEO of Illinois and all of its business. Term limits are the only hope for Illinois.
Paul Shafer March 26, 2014 at 08:19 am
George, in response to your earlier question about how to make it happen, I know there are petitionsRead More circulating and I signed one. That is a first step. Also - the district mapping process is always conducted by the party in power (which at least partially explains the Madigan situation). This should be done by a non-partisan third party. Believe there are petitions floating around for that as well.

Why is it when the Republicans ran everything no one was worried about the debt. Bush got everyRead More debt limit increase he asked for without any strings attached to it. Bush put 2 wars on the credit card AFTER cutting taxes for his rich buddies.
