Black Friday sales require a good strategy, comfortable shoes and a lot of coffee. There’s one more thing to add to the list: your iPhone or Smartphone.

A variety of apps can turn your phone into a shopping tool that will help you navigate stores, get coupons and find the best prices.

Wired reports more apps are being rolled out as retails “acknowledge the new reality of anytime, anywhere retail, a reality in which getting someone to tap an app on Black Friday is at least as important as getting them through the door.”

Google Maps provides maps for stores like Macy’s and Nordstrom. This app can also be used to help you plan out your route and find items on store shelves. 

Google Shopper

The app helps find information about everything on your Christmas lists. According to Google, the app recognizes produces by cover art, barcode, voice and text searches. It also lets you save items to your list to share with family and friends, it states.  

Red Laser

This app turns your phone’s camera into a barcode scanner. It takes a photo of the barcode then lets you check prices from online to local retails to find the best deal, according to PCWorld.com

Coupon Sherpa

Don’t forget those coupons! Coupon Sherpa’s mobile app provides you with thousands of coupons. 

Groupon

The company’s app offers sale alerts; deals of the day and can scan barcodes to find the best deal. 

FastMall

Another free app that provides an interactive navigation tool, showing you locations of stores, restrooms and restaurants and more, according to PCWorld.com. 

Department stores

Target, Forever 21, H&M, Walmart, Macy’s, Best Buy, and Nordstrom are a few of the stores that have apps to help you navigate their stores and find good deals.

Finally, there’s the Black Friday Shopping app. This app gives you the latest breaking Black Friday ads, including the leaked ones.
