Sun City Huntley Preparing Rememberance Ceremony

Ten years after the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks Americans will gather to remember. Sun City Huntley will join that national day of mourning with a special ceremony.

The women invested $1,500 to purchase the flags and started planning the ceremony, which will include a narrative of the events that day 10 years ago will be read by Orion Samuelson, a Sun City resident and well known Chicago radio personality.

A friend gave the group a flag from New York that reads “We Will Never Forget” across the top. The sentiment, Mulhall said, is what inspired the women to plan a memorial.
