Suburban Restaurant Makes National List of Most Underrated Eateries
NEAR Restaurant in Barrington was named one of the nation's 25 most underrated restaurants by Eater.com.
Eater.com has named Barrington’s NEAR Restaurant as one of the nation’s 25 most underrated.
“In a recent conversation, Tavernita chef Ryan Poli pointed to Near as one of the most underrated restaurants in the Chicago area,” the website reads.
The 25 restaurants listed were chosen by Eater editors and friends of the site as places that should get more national attention. NEAR and Chicago’s Nightwood Restaurant were the only two Illinois eateries to make the list.
NEAR's Facebook fan page acknowledged the accolade, writing, "Thank you to Eater Magazine for giving us this recognition!"
