Steve Beaman is a successful businesses man who is a bit nervous speaking to groups nor has any plans to run for elected office.

He is just trying to get a message that the Huntley Area Tea Party relates with: America’s “core values, liberty and freedom, are being attacked,” Beaman said Tuesday night.

Beaman was a guest speaker at the Tea Party’s meeting which included a performance by the Steve Beaman Arming American with Knowledge Band.

He pointed out the nation’s debt is up to $16 trillion and adding $1.1 trillion a year. And that’s the tip of the iceberg, he said. The entrepreneur, who use to work on Wall Street and knew Bernard Madoff, said average people should speak up.

“If I am capable of standing up here tonight, so are you,” Beaman said. “It is high time the people stand up because this nation we love is in trouble.”

Well, Mr. Beaman knew Bernie Madoff and doesn't say whether or not he sided with his "politics".....very telling.
And since he is speaking in support of the Tea Party, he is preaching to the choir of the church of anti-intellegence. What the Tea Party never states is their core idea is to support the Republican viewpoint, not an Independant one, and most certainly not a Democratic one.
The current deluge of Tea Party backed candidates that occupy Congress today have done more damage to the United States than any other "ersatz" group before them.
And I do agree with Beaman, we do need to stand up and "unelect" the Tea Party nominees everywhere.
